Absolutely! We encourage pet parents to Pre-arrange services before their pet’s passing. Doing so will get the paperwork and payment out of the way. That way when the time comes, you can focus on your pet. Give us a call, and we can arrange your pet’s services in advance.
Yes, when you select a private cremation we offer pet parents the opportunity to witness the cremation. Please note this service must be arranged around our existing cremation schedule, and because of this, may result in delayed remains return. These appointments are usually scheduled in the morning. You will witness your pet being placed into the cremation machine through a glass viewing door from the Rainbow Room. After your pet has been placed and the machine is started, most families leave and then come back later to pick up remains. The cremation unit is closed during the entire process, so there is nothing to watch. Depending on the size of your pet, the cremation process can take up to 5 hours from start to finish. If you wish to stay for the entire duration of the cremation, we ask that you watch from the Rainbow Bridge Viewing Room, so our staff can continue to work and assist other clients.
Sure! We are proud of our state of the art facility. We welcome the opportunity to show you the caring and professional environment we provide for the pet families we serve.
• We understand how difficult it is to say goodbye. Our beautiful Rainbow Bridge Room can be arranged so you can take the extra time to say your final farewells. Our caring staff will prepare your pet for the viewing. This room is available to schedule for you, your family, and any of your living pets for $50 per half hour.
We accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards. Payment is due when services are rendered.
Cremation is a means of final disposition and is an alternative to burial. Many municipalities prohibit by law the burial of pets, making cremation an only option in these cases. Cremation is a combustion process that reduces the pet to bone fragment remains. These remains are then processed in a mechanical grinder to create the pulverized, ashy remains most people are familiar with.
Private Cremation
We offer a true private cremation, meaning your pet will be the only pet present in the cremation chamber at the time of cremation. You will receive your cremains in a wooden urn with an ink on paper paw print.
Semi-Private
With this option, multiple segregated animals are present in the cremation chamber at a time. The cremation unit is long and narrow, allowing animals to be placed and then separated with a metal barrier. Each animal is removed individually and processed individually. The remains are not intentionally comingled or mixed! Although every percaution is made to keep remains separate, we cannot guarantee small bone fragments have not comingled during combustion. You will receive your cremains back in a wooden urn and will also receive an ink print of your pet on paper.
Communal Cremation
Multiple pets are present in the cremation unit and are not segregated. The group cremains are not given back, and are instead communally disposed of in a dignified manner.
We completely understand how important this is to pet parents so we insure you piece of mind with our tag ID# tracking system. A metal disc with unique number will be placed on your pet as soon as we receive it. This tag will remain with your pet throughout the entire process, and will appear attached to your pets cremated remains. This system, in addition to many other redundancies are in place to insure that you will always get only your pets cremated remains.
Once your pet arrives at Peaceful Pets, your pet will be placed in a secure cold thermal room until time of cremation. This room is kept around 40 degrees.
You will be notified that your pet’s remains are ready for pickup within 3 to 4 business days. We will schedule a time for you to come to our facility to pick up, or if requested, we can return remains to your veterinary clinic for no charge within a 15 mile radius of our location.
